Get ready for the 2012 Presidential election year!

On Sat., March 17 we will hold the county precinct officer elections as well as the county convention. This is also the year for the state convention, for re-writing the Kentucky Republican platform and for choosing Ky. delegates to attend the national convention. Please visit the site often for updates on campaigns and events.

Feb. 7: new legislatve candidate filing deadline

Feb. 18: Lincoln Day Dinner; guest speaker Mandy Connell, conservative talk show host from WHAS 840 AM; Claudia Sanders Dinner House, 3202 Shelbyville Rd, Shelbyville, Ky. Mar. 17: Precint officer elections and County Convention (to elect officers and adopt resolutions for consideration at the district conv.), 9 A.M. - 1 P.M., (old) Shelby Co. Courthouse, 504 Main St., Shelbyville.

Apr. 23: last day to register to vote in the primary.

May 19: 2nd District Convention (to elect district officers, nominate national delegates, pass the district platform) at the Vaughn Reno Starks Community Center, 105 Bishop Lane, Elizabetown. Check back for times, fees, etc.

May 22: Primary Election Day

Oct. 9: last day to register to vote in the general election.
